Meet Korina
Hello. My name is Korina (Kori) Bavaro and I am actively retiring from service as a police officer with the Los Angeles Police Department, where I’ve honorably served the citizens of Los Angeles for the past 23yrs. I have received hundreds of minor and major commendations during my service as a police officer. Over 40% of my commendations have been generated by the very citizens I’ve served; These are persons of the most diverse community in all of the state of California, even those whom I’ve had to arrest.
Although I have decided the time has come to retire from the LAPD, I am not done working for, contributing to and serving the great citizenry of which my family, my friends, my neighbors and I are a part of. Having begun my adult employment serving as a youth educator with the Simi Valley Unified School District, followed by decades of faithful service protecting, training, mentoring, coaching and teaching others (adults, youth, sworn and civilian), I am turning my focus and experience in continuum of making life better for future generations in a new way; I am your best choice candidate, running for Simi Valley Unified School District School Board Trustee, Area E!
